GUJARATI STYLE GREEN CHILLI CHUTNEY SAUCE

This fiery sauce compliments khaman dhokla so so superbly, just like the way Hungry Husband compliments Hungry Hijabi.

 1 Coriander
 0.50 lemons Juice
 1 Clove of Garlic
 0.50 Inch Ginger
 1 tsp Gram Flour (chickpea )
 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
 1 tsp Sugar
 0.25 tsp Fine sea Salt
 3 Green Chillies Hot

Add all the ingredients in a blender or food processor.

Blitz and add a little water depending on the consistency you like. Add a tablespoon at a time and keep tasting.

Enjoy it with delicious dhoklas, samosas, chaats and pakoras 🙂

The much requested sauce is fiery, faultless, effortless and completely out of this world. Perfect as a salad dressing, although mind you i should say it comes with a warning; its FIERY!. This recipe is completely my own but completely inspired by Gujarati cuisine. It's very watered down unlike the traditional authentic version, its quite a thick consistency.

I managed to successfully concoct my own one day as i was desperate for some street food style snacks in the middle of the night. Like seriously, these late night cravings are just the worst (even though often the best foods are created out of sheer greed). I grew up with Gujarati neighbours so you can imagine i was very quickly drawn to their cuisines after sampling them throughout my childhood. Its always the unsung heroes that scream at you the most, even if it is 20 years later. You have this sudden urge to eat something you had years ago and will not stop at anything until you ... ermm... eat it?!
