Kickstarting my 2018 with my gooey, chewy, caramel oozing and chocolate exploding decadent brownies! I absolutely love my brownies all fudgy as apposed to all cakey; not cakey BUT FUDGY. I mean if i fancied cake i would just bake myself a chocolate sponge right? One thing for sure though, Hungry Husband, my chocoholic partner was not happy that he had to share these brownies ; he just loved them so much and kept coming back for more!!!
Brownies served hot with ice cream is definitely better than cake i feel. It really satisfies that chocolate craving: almost IMMEDIATELY!
Give my following recipe a go and here are a few tips upon serving:
1. use a sharp, hot knife dipped in boiling water, to slice through the brownies.
2. Serve with raspberries two ways: either inside your bakes brownies or on the side when serving. Alternatively you can try using strawberries.
3. For an even more fudgy texture you can substitute the caster sugar with soft brown sugar.
4. Dust the caramel chocolates with a little of the plain flour to prevent them sinking into the bottom of the tin during baking.
