Whilst black teas are the most well-known, and more recently, green teas have received a lot of attention, oolong are often overlooked despite having some of the most varied and exciting flavour profiles.
After the leaves are picked, they are gently withered to remove some of the moisture from the leaf, before being tumbled in a bamboo drum. This process bruises the leaves and provokes oxidation. Oolongs are semi-oxidised which means that unlike black teas which are allowed to oxidise fully, for oolongs the process is halted after a certain time. The leaves are then pan fired at high temperatures before being rolled and dried.
Oolong tea is a product made from the leaves, buds, and stems of the Camellia sinensis plant. This is the same plant that is also used to make black tea and green tea. oolong tea helps to sharpen thinking skills and improve alertness, weight loss, to prevent cancer, to prevent brittle bones , to boost the immune system, and to treat diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis). But there is limited scientific evidence to support these uses. Oolong increase your metabolism for up to two hours after eating, which is why you’ll find so many articles online linking oolong tea with weight loss.
While there are many oolongs out their, our one is premium the best of the best.
So whilst I have always enjoyed this tea, after it was gifted by one of his friends, I noticed the first time, Hungry Husband’s long term skin tag on his eyelid disappeared. Skin tags on the eye lids usually is a sign of cholesterol, and with so many green teas and oolong teas around, it was definitely this one that did the magic.
After a very sweet pregnancy, and I mean a very high in sugar and fat pregnancy, my neck was covered in skin tags. However once I gave birth, I started to drink this tea, 6 months onwards and within a month my skin tags had disappeared.
So now I’m sharing for the first time with my hungries, this special oolong tea. I do apologise it took so long to hit my online shop, but I had to source the exact one from abroad.
I really hope this helps you enjoy herbal teas a lot more. Unlike other teas, this is very mild and enjoyable to drink at night before bedtime whilst winding down with the added benefits of good skin and weight loss.
