☘️1 block butter
☘️1tbsp salt
☘️1tbsp celery salt
☘️1tbsp salt
☘️1tbsp red chilli pepper flakes
☘️1tbsp parsley
☘️1tbsp garlic powder
☘️1tbsp onion powder
☘️1tbsp turmeric

I stuffed the turkey with apple, onion, lemon and carrot which seems to be the talk of the town in todays stories 🌞

Cook for 30 mins for every 1kg.

My bird was 5kg! Importing in halal turkeys were difficult this year due to the current climate and hence the increase in price. But these gorgeous French ones are fresh and high quality.

Putting rice underneath as a bed for the turkey to roast in is a complete game changer because u end up with butter rice! It was absolutely

This is harsh haram #haram.
This is not true.
Everything is not haram.
But when there’s so much haram around us,
And the corruption,
Islam looks like it’s forbidden everything.

If we look at the hadiths around us,
Commonly found in the 6 books of Hadith:
Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Tirimidi, Abu Dawud, Majah, Nisa etc
If we look at all the sayings of the prophet pbuh,
He tells us…

Prayers are not prayed correctly anymore.
People pray without meaning to pray anymore.
Our five daily salah is done in a hurry, in a rush, with neglect. No importance is taken to them. And if money comes in the way the prayer is lost.

How hard are we trying to impress the dunya with the dunya online nowadays?

Prayers are delayed.
Boys and girls meet up.
Married meet with married and unmarried.
Sharing and free mixing under the pretence of “collaborating” and “working together” in the name of “he’s my bro, she’s my sis”.

Seduction is the word for fitna.

The world is the benefit right now.
Men don’t pray Jummah anymore and they justify it with “earning money to feed their family. They don’t even make time for Jummah. But if it wasn’t even for Allah who provided you with a family, you wouldn’t even have a family in the beginning. And when you turn away from Allah like this, Allah describes this sort of family like a spider in the Quran. The cobweb eventually falls apart. It’s not stable.

A reminder to us all.
Pray on time.
Pray all five.
Pray with intent.
Don’t skip your faith related duties.
Don’t chase the dunya.

A fishy broth, with fish and vegetables married with the great naga chilli.

The Bengalis have their Hutki Shiras.

Use no more than 5 veggies.
Mooli, katol bisi, lotus, radish, eddoes are other veggies you can use.

King prawns, rui fish and any fishy steaky fish is perfect. Bland fishes aren’t welcome 🙅🏻‍♀️

((((((bigHug)))))) in a bowl 😊

Ingredients:
☘️4 cups water (800ml)
☘️1 bulb garlic grated
☘️6-8 pieces of fish (rohu) scales, washed, dried marinated with 3/4tsp turmeric, 1tsp salt and 1/2tsp chilli powder
☘️1 blended onion
☘️2tsp salt
☘️handful of freshly peeled uri
☘️5/6 halved baby potatoes peeled
☘️6/7 okra halved
☘️2 bunch green spinach
☘️1 cup soaked gozar hutki
☘️1tsp rajah mild madras (optional)
☘️3 cups water (600ml)
☘️hidol hutki 9 large ones, cleaned, Deveined and heads off
☘️1 Naga and 5-10 Green chillis

Method in approx 50mins:
🌱heat water, add onions, salt and garlic and cook for 10mins, slow simmer lid on.
🌱add potato, uri, and cook for 10 mins, slow simmer lid on.
🌱add okra, cook for 10 mins.
🌱add gozar, chillis and water and cook for 5 mins, slow simmer lid on.
🌱add fish, hidol, spinach, Naga and water if needed. Check salt and cook for 10 mins.

Enjoy with hot freshly cooked basmati rice 🥰.

The best hug a bowl can give you is when it serves you this Hutki Shira.

A fishy broth, with fish and vegetables married with the great naga chilli.

The Vietnamese have Pho,
And the Bengalis have their Hutki Shiras.

It contains zero oil and served with 1 cup of rice it’s less than 300 calories in a meal. Perfect for intermittent fasters and perfect for Hungry Hijabi 🥳

Ingredients:
☘️2 cups water (400ml)
☘️1 bulb garlic grated
☘️6-8 pieces of fish (rohu) scales, washed, dried marinated with 3/4tsp turmeric, 1/2tsp salt
☘️1 blended onion
☘️2tsp salt
☘️handful of freshly peeled jackfruit seeds (katol bisi)
☘️2-3 eddoes (mukhi) prepped
☘️1/2cup water (100ml)
☘️1 mooli cut into half moons
☘️handful okra sliced
☘️2 cups spinach
☘️handful baby potatoes
☘️1tsp rajah mild madras
☘️1tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
☘️3 cups water (600ml)
☘️hidol hutki 5 large ones, cleaned, Deveined and heads off
☘️1 Naga and 5-10 Green chillis
☘️1cup water (200ml)

Method in approx 50mins:
🌱heat water, add onions, salt and garlic and cook for 10mins, slow simmer lid on.
🌱add jackfruit seeds, water and eddoes and cook for 10 mins, slow simmer lid on.
🌱add spices, cook for 5 mins.
🌱add veggies and water and cook for 10 mins, slow simmer lid on.

CHOTPOTI FUCHKA PANI PURI

Yay, after like forever I managed to record how I learnt to eat and make chotpoti!

I have an amazing cheffy friend from Dhaka and I’ve learnt lots of food recipes! We share food every single week and this is one of my favourites when she makes it for me.

She’s been really kind enough to share her recipe so I hope you make it and enjoy it as much as I do.

Just to note, chotpoti is a classic Bangladeshi street food snack and she loves to fill up Pani puri shells with it, otherwise you can just have it on its own like you would do chaat.

Here’s what you will need:

For the chotpoti:
🌿one pack bengal gram
🌿3 potatoes cubed
🌿1TBSP salt
🌿 x1 radhuni chotpoti spice mix

For the Pani puri sauce:
🌿100g natco fry tamarind
🌿300ml boiling water
🌿6 garlics
🌿6 green chillis
🌿bunch of coriander
🌿pinch of salt

For the salad extras:
🌿2 chopped tomatoes
🌿1/2 chopped peeled cucumber
🌿1 chopped red onion
🌿bunch coriander
🌿green chillis

🌿Pani puri shells
🌿deep fry or rub with oil in air fryer 2 mins

Please note if you don’t have a pressure cooker , u can book the bengal gram like you would do lentils with a pinch of bicarbonate soda.

Let’s step to the good part ⬇️

🌿 1/3 cup oil
🌿cinnamon stick, bay leaves, black peppercorns. Green and black cardamom, star anise
🌿3 large chopped onions
🌿2tbsp garlic
🌿1tbsp ginger
🌿2.5tsp salt
🌿1 large vine tomato chopped
🌿250ml hot water
🌿1kg mutton or lamb mince
🌿50g hungry spice mix available www.hungryhijabi.co.uk
🌿1cup water
🌿fried potato cubes
🌿1/4 cup peas
🌿 fresh coriander and green chillis
🌿1tsp sprinkle dust available www.hungryhijabi.co.uk
🌿 1/4tsp naga paste or pickle

1 | In a large cooking pot add oil. I know it’s a lot but let me tell you that a fabulous curry needs a lot of oil so the spices can blend and cook nicely in it.

2 | To this hot oil, add whole spices, temper and then add onions. Brown them until golden. Add ginger garlic, salt and tomato.

3 | Add in the keema. I use mutton mince. Cook and stir continuously untill brown. Add water. Cook 30 mins.

4 | Add hungry spice mix. Cook for 5 mins.

5 | Once the oil separates add chillis, fried potatoes and simmer for 15 mins.

6 | should leave you with a gorgeous colour, aroma and taste. Garnish with fresh coriander. Sprinkle with sprinkle dust, stir in peas.

7 | Add naga paste and enjoy hot with fresh white basmati rice 👌

LEMON DRIZZLE BUNDT CAKE🍋

Il bake this 100 times if it turns out beautiful like this 🎀

Ingredients
🍋175g caster sugar
🍋175g self-raising flour
🍋175g softened butter
🍋3 large eggs
🍋Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
🍋¾ level tsp baking powder
For The Lemon Drizzle Topping
🍋100g granulated sugar
🍋Juice of 1 lemon
Special Bakeware / Equipment
🍋Electric whisk
🍋A traybake or roasting, greased and lined

Method
🍋Preheat the oven to 180ºC, gas 4.
🍋Beat together the eggs, flour, caster sugar, butter, baking powder and lemon zest until smooth in a large mixing bowl and turn into the prepared tin.
🍋Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 40 mins, or until golden brown, shrinking away from the sides of the tin and springy to the touch.
🍋While the cake is still warm, make the lemon drizzle topping.
🍋Mix together the sugar and lemon juice, and pour over the warm cake.
🍋Leave to cool a little and loosen the sides of the cake, then lift the cake out of the tin.

🌿1tbsp ginger
🌿2.5tsp salt
🌿1 large vine tomato chopped
🌿250ml hot water
🌿1kg mutton or lamb mince

🌿fried potato cubes
🌿1/4 cup peas
🌿 fresh coriander and green chillis
🌿1tsp sprinkle dust available www.hungryhijabi.co.uk
🌿 1/4tsp naga paste or pickle

1 | In a large cooking pot add oil. I know it’s a lot but let me tell you that a fabulous curry needs a lot of oil so the spices can blend and cook nicely in it.

2 | To this hot oil, add whole spices, temper and then add onions. Brown them until golden. Add ginger garlic, salt and tomato.

3 | Add in the keema. I use mutton mince. Cook and stir continuously untill brown. Add water. Cook 30 mins.

4 | Add hungry spice mix. Cook for 5 mins.

5 | Once the oil separates add chillis, fried potatoes and simmer for 15 mins.

6 | should leave you with a gorgeous colour, aroma and taste. Garnish with fresh coriander. Sprinkle with sprinkle dust, stir in peas.

7 | Add naga paste and enjoy hot with fresh white basmati rice 👌

LEMON DRIZZLE BUNDT CAKE🍋

Il bake this 100 times if it turns out beautiful like this 🎀

Ingredients
🍋175g caster sugar
🍋175g self-raising flour
🍋175g softened butter
🍋3 large eggs
🍋Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
🍋¾ level tsp baking powder
For The Lemon Drizzle Topping
🍋100g granulated sugar
🍋Juice of 1 lemon
Special Bakeware / Equipment
🍋Electric whisk
🍋A traybake or roasting, greased and lined

Method
🍋Preheat the oven to 180ºC, gas 4.
🍋Beat together the eggs, flour, caster sugar, butter, baking powder and lemon zest until smooth in a large mixing bowl and turn into the prepared tin.
🍋Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 40 mins, or until golden brown, shrinking away from the sides of the tin and springy to the touch.
🍋While the cake is still warm, make the lemon drizzle topping.
🍋Mix together the sugar and lemon juice, and pour over the warm cake.
🍋Leave to cool a little and loosen the sides of the cake, then lift the cake out of the tin.
